For clients desiring the convenience of holding a ceremony and reception under one roof, the Athenaeum is the destination of choice. Whether you choose our Gothic chapel, the Priory, or desire a theatrical experience in our Large Theater, the Athenaeum provides a seamless transition from ceremony to reception.

The convenience of having a ceremony and reception at one location cannot be overstated. Your out-of-town guests, who are unfamiliar with Columbus, will especially appreciate the ease. Many of our clients take advantage of our package accommodations at nearby hotels, by checking into a hotel on Friday and then have no need for a vehicle until Sunday afternoon.

    • Bar Amenities: We do allow our clients to furnish their own alcoholic beverages for their events. The Athenaeum will provide the accompanying bar mixers, soft drinks and bar staffing for your event.
    • A/V:The Athenaeum can provide a multitude of audio-visual services and equipment.
    • Décor:Our simple yet sophisticated décor is at your fingertips.
    • Seasoned Event Staff: Our event staff will help you throughout the entire planning process. From early details to the big day we make sure every detail is as you envisioned.
    • Set up & Tear down: The Athenaeum will take care of setting up for your event at the end of the evening you are responsible for loading out your gifts, décor items and alcohol.

Our Sales Representatives are available to provide tours of the Athenaeum.  To schedule a tour, please call our offices at 614-222-MEET [6338].  A tour is a great opportunity to view the venue and select the space(s) which would be suitable for your style and budget.  A visit will also allow you the chance to obtain additional information – such as a detailed estimate, ask questions, and begin planning your event!
