Meet Trisha Morris, Event Manager

As an Event Manager, Trisha, works with clients throughout the planning process. She loves sitting down with clients at the detail meetings and helping them pick out all the event details. For Trisha, each of these small details helps pull together an entire event.

The colors featured in the linens (Black, Ivory and Yellow) are a fresh approach to the classic black and white. It’s a new twist on the traditional.

These linens also highlight the room well. The ivory and yellow linens play off of the gold tones in the Olympian Ballroom. It is important to select linens that compliment the event space. These linens do just that!

Buttercup Satin Sash is also Trisha’s all-time favorite linen!

Meet Jake Wheeler, Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, Jake, is responsible for making sure all client orders have been fulfilled. He also provides us with the male perspective on wedding planning.

Meet Lori Fiske, Customer Relations Manager

As Customer Relations Manager, Lori provides responses to our online clients as their first point of contact. Maintaining proper linen inventories for events and showcasing new linen ideas is also an important role. Fashion obviously dictates linen trends, and thanks to Lori, Columbus Athenaeum brides and grooms are privy to the latest samples showcased in our event spaces, lobby and swatch offerings.

This Escort Card Table was an immediate showstopper when you entered the Oak Room. I think it is a great example of how one table like the cake table or head table can be played up dramatically while the guest tables can be somewhat minimal. The Oak Room has an intimate, warm feeling without any extra decor. The room is wrapped in oak and the fluted columns make this room a favorite. The linens added luster as a contrast to the wood. The fall colors this couple selected – added to the warmth. This is a perfect example of how the linens and décor selected can completely transform a space.

Simplifying the Purchase of Alcohol for Bridal and Corporate Clients

The Columbus Athenaeum, one of Columbus’ premiere wedding, and corporate event facilities, is proud to announce that they are now operating with a liquor license.

The decision to acquire a liquor license comes in response to the overwhelming majority of clients who have expressed a preference for purchasing liquor on-site without the hassle of acquiring it elsewhere. Many clients indicated that the notion of bringing their own liquor “looked good on paper,” but that the time and labor involved proved to be more of a burden than they had expected. In fact, questionnaires have revealed that nearly all clients answered post-event surveys affirmatively when asked if they would have preferred to purchase liquor on-site at a reasonable price rather than devote the considerable effort to securing their own alcohol and making provision for its transportation.

The Columbus Athenaeum’s philosophy has always been to provide good value products and the liquor operation will be no exception.

The History of the Masonic Lodge Pipe Organ

The era of the Masonic Lodge pipe organ, embracing close to 700 instruments, began in the 1860s. In the religious, ritualistic format of the Masonic movement, the pipe organ made a statement. It was deemed essential to crown the ambiance of the journey through the several chapters of the order (Blue Lodge, Royal Arch, Scottish Rite, Shrine and other “Rites”). It complemented the majestic buildings, often architectural masterpieces, which contributed significantly to an attractive urban landscape.

For event use:
Pianist/Organist provided by client.
TCA will include a 30 minute rehearsal during business hours. Date/time is based on availability.
Grand Piano & Pipe Organ are only available in Large Theatre.
